Description:
This community-based study was conducted in two refugee reception centres in eastern Sudan in 1985, looking at the elderly refugee population. Study results show that the elderly are a vulnerable group amongst refugees, and that adequate provisions for basic needs in combination with community-based health services are best suited to address the short- and long-term health needs of elderly refugees.
